Junior Chef

Marco loves to cook with us.

He wants to try all of the ingredients raw and tell you about them. "Onions are lil' bit spicy mama?"

He wants to try the pasta to see if it's al dente. "No, too hard, not done yet!"

And most of all, he wants to stir. I set him up with his own cooking so I can actually get dinner finished. Here he is with what he called "special celery soup."

If you'd like to make it at home, ingredients are water, celery, onion, anise seed, basil flakes and salt and pepper to taste. Mix until bored, then demand snack.

Let him scavenge cake.

Waste not, want not. Sometimes cake gets dribbled onto your chair.

Birthday to me... birthday to me...

Well, I decided to embrace my age of 29. Marco and Jeff helped by baking a cake for me and we all ate it in bed for breakfast. Marco couldn't believe his good fortune and we can't believe the crumbs.
Shout out to Heather and Taki for taking Marco for a couple hours so we could have a dinner out!

Legacy Teeth

Marco had his first dentist appointment this week. Of course, since Jeff and I have never had a cavity, we had high hopes for him to carry the torch.

The dentist was great, tricked him into showing her his teeth with a mirror and sunglasses.

She said Marco had great looking teeth and that his mouth is plenty big to get all his teeth. I was proud until it hit me... thud. Dentist called Marco a big mouth... something he should probably get used to.
